New local group-PANDA (Portishead Additional Needs Discos and Activities)

Please find below details of a new local group :- 


PANDA (Portishead Additional Needs Discos and Activities) are a new group organising monthly discos and other activities for disabled adults living in and around Portishead.  They consist of parents, siblings and support workers of people with learning difficulties and are just trying to give people more access to varied activities and opportunities to socialise within their community.  


5-week Bushcraft Course at Goblin Combe woods, starting on Wednesday March 6th, 11am - 3pm (meet at 10.45am in the bottom car park, near old school house)

Each week the group will explore the woodland, light a fire and cook ever increasingly complex and inventive dishes- previous groups have started with sausages and pizza bread and graduated to cupcakes, mince pies, pasta sauce and meatballs, all made from scratch in the woodland!

The course is fully funded by community learning and the skills finding agency, so will be completely FREE of charge!

Course Dates are: 6/3/19, 13/3/19, 20/3/19, 3/4/19 & 10/4/19 (please note NO COURSE ON WEDNESDAY 27th MARCH)

*This course will be run by professional outdoor/bushcraft tutors, but PANDA organisers will also be present.  Please dress warmly and wear old clothes and shoes.

Litter Picking - meet in Sainsbury's car park, Portishead - Sunday 17th March at 2pm.  All equipment will be provided and we'll go for a coffee/hot chocolate together afterwards.

(Please note: this event will not take place if the weather's bad)


Disco - Folk Hall, Portishead - Friday 22nd March, 7.30-9pm

Entrance £3, refreshments are free
